The NCP1399 is a high-performance current-mode controller for half-bridge resonant converters. The controller implements 600 V gate drivers, which simplifies layout and reduces external parts count. The built-in undervoltage input function simplifies the implementation of this controller in all applications. In applications requiring a PFC pre-stage, the NCP1399 has a dedicated output to drive the PFC controller. This feature combined with dedicated skip mode technology further improves the light load efficiency of the entire application. The NCP1399 provides a set of protection features for safe operation in any application.
