The MC74VHC1G07 is an advanced high-speed CMOS buffer with an open-drain output fabricated using a silicon-gate CMOS process. The internal circuitry consists of multiple stages including buffers and an open-drain output that provides the ability to set the output switching level. This enables the MC74VHC1G07 to be used to interface any 2.0 V to 5.5 V circuit to any 1.5 V to 5.5 V circuit using external resistors and power supplies. The MC74VHC1G07 input structure provides protection for applied voltages up to 5.5 V regardless of the supply voltage.
